Let Us Talk: Entrepreneurship
According to an entrepreneur “THE BEST WAY TO PREDICT THE FUTURE IS TO CREATE IT”
-By peter pucker
It is the dream of many but only a few can achieve it, only a few work towards it. Where do they lag? What’s the force that they need to move on? Is there some magic that they need or some powerful words by a successful entrepreneur? There are hundreds of questions like these in the mind of a rising entrepreneur. All they need is a little push towards their goal and then they can do wonders.
Keeping this in mind, we at Let Us Lead- A platform of infinite opportunities have conducted a session with Akbar Khan on entrepreneurship “Let Us Talk: entrepreneurship”. We call it a journey of infinite learning. He started the session with his journey. As we know that learning from someone’s experiences has a great impact on us. He started sharing how he became a successful entrepreneur, how he got the idea, and then everyone in his way supported him. As it is said that “in the starting, you just need the small push, and then the whole universe will be at your side”. And that is very true.
Throughout his journey, he not only learned entrepreneurship but has challenged many difficulties that came along his way. He and his team worked hard towards their start-ups and have said that hard work always pays off, they won the title of one of the best four start-ups in India at IIT Bombay. From him, we got to learn one very important thing, one is more capable than what he expects from themselves.
Some keypoint that he shared:
- Marketing is all about content management. The quantity of anything in your marketing scheme doesn’t matter until and unless you don’t have good content. The best way to start marketing is to start with your content.
- As a student, you have nothing to lose but you have infinite things to achieve. You have enough potential to make your dream happen. Nothing goes in vain. Everything you will experience in your journey will help you at some point in your life.
- We should not be a part of the crowd out there. We have to do something that will help us to get out of the box. Living an ordinary life is very easy and comfortable. But the sun gives rays only after burning high. That’s what we have to do. and when you will get out of that box, you will do wonders.
- Talking about the idea for startups, it will come from yourself only. No one can give that idea to you. Look around and if you think something is missing or something needs to be changed, that’s your idea. You don’t need an extraordinary idea to start, you can make your simple idea an extraordinary one.
- As an Entrepreneur, there are many things to do. You need not know everything. Once you will start, you will eventually get people to help you out. So you need not worry about where I will get people to work with.
- You need not start with every domain at first. You can start with one domain also. Slowly and steadily, your way will become clear. Many startups fail because they follow a biased approach.
- Don’t think that you will become famous immediately after starting. It takes a minimum of 4–5 years.
Some questions asked by audiences:
- How can we move further in business-related fields if we are from a technology background?
Ans- First, if you have taken any course try to complete that. Also, don’t let your passion fade away. Try to get some time and keep reading and learning about it. Once your course gets completed, then don’t look behind. Focus only on your passion. Still, if you don’t get something from the business, you will be having your degree which will never get wasted.
2. How can I know if I am capable enough to start any startups or not?
Ans- before starting anything, you have to believe in yourself and have an idea of what you will do. If you want to make it happen, then there’s no turning back, start working towards it without having any second thought. It should come from within, not from the fancy world. Everything depends on your thinking. If your thinking is powerful enough to make it happen, then no one can stop you.
In the end, the Founder of Let us Lead, Rakesh Raushan shared some valuable points and also how he started two startups simultaneously and both of them are completely different from each other. He started ‘TechTable’ to help students gain some experience of corporate life by giving some courses and projects. As only having hard skills are not enough in today’s world. Soft skills are more important than that. So with that perspective, he started ‘Let us Lead’. if anyone wants to watch this wonderful session,
